...you can go skiing one day and climbing the next. Clearly, we are living in the final days.
Ben Taylor was in town for three days earlier this week. On Sunday he hooked up with Astrid and Colin Boeh, among others, to go skiing at Wisp for $7. Meanwhile, the rest of us hung back for the inventory party, which was attended by Eric, Kas, Lou, Cory, Jenn, and Becca. The laptop thing worked pretty well, although not perfectly. It probably saved us more time than it wasted, and Kasia agrees that this year we will have the most accurate and most efficiently collected inventory yet. Sadly, that's exactly the kind of thing that gets me excited nowadays.
Seth, Ben and I took monday off to go to Wisp for their last $7 day of the season. I was delighted to discover that I still remembered how to ski. Ben was wicked quick for a fat guy. And Seth was showing off his new tele skis with remarkably clean technique. Yings and wings at the pub capped the day off nicely.
Ben and I did get to go climbing on Tuesday. We went to Cooper's and basked in the 60 degree heat. We both found that we'd gotten a little soft since the end of the warm-weather boating season. Ben may relish being big, but I wouldn't mind being in better shape.
